Mobilization and Deployment Readiness Program
List of Classes Available  

The Fort Richardson Mobilization and Deployment office offers many classes to help set your FRG up for success.  Listed below are the main classes offered throughout the year.  Visit our “Calendars” page and sign up for a class!

FRG Leaders Certification Training Course

In this class, you will gain the knowledge you need to run an effective FRG.  We prepare you to enter your unit confidently, knowing you have covered every aspect there is to know about caring for your Family Readiness Group.  We also recommend you follow up this course with other classes that are offered, where subjects are covered in more detail.

Basic and Advanced Key Caller Class
Do you know what to do if you make a courtesy call and the person hangs up on you?  We do! 
This class will benefit new volunteers as well as seasoned Key Callers.  We will discuss the roles and responsibilities of a Key Caller, will provide you with local community resources, and role play some real life key caller scenarios.
And yes… we’ll tell you how to handle that person who hung up on you!

Volunteer Management Class
Fundraisers, call-outs, and socials… OH MY! 
You can’t do it all yourself… You need an army of volunteers!
The Volunteer Management Course will give you the skills you need recruit volunteers, manage their time and yours, recognize them publicly and privately as volunteers, keep up with their Volunteer Portfolios, and provide you with all the required forms and information you need to succeed.

Finances and Fundraising
If you’ve decided to take on the role of FRG Treasurer or Fundraising Chairperson, this class is for you! You will learn the roles and responsibilities of a treasurer, setting up a bank account, managing and accounting for funds, budgeting, the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), the regulations governing FRG funds, and fundraising Dos and Don’ts.  If you are an FRG leader, FRSA or a Commander, this class will benefit you as well.

Newsletter Class
Are you ready to start an FRG Newsletter?  GREAT!  
This class will help you get organized.  You will learn the difference between official and unofficial newsletters (and how to combine the two), what does and doesn’t need to be approved by your Commander, OPSEC regulations, design tips, and suggestions on how to get started.
