Otter Lake Lodge

Otter Lake Lodge is a beautiful chalet-style-carpeted lodge located 6 miles from the Ft. Richardson main post, near the shores of Otter Lake. There’s a magnificent view from the deck that overlooks Otter Lake and the surrounding Chugach Mountains. The lodge is open all year round and accommodates 200 people.

The Lodge is available to rent for banquets, weddings, family get-togethers, holiday parties, graduation parties, official and social functions, recreational parties, hail & farewells, company/section/unit parties, conferences, meetings, and training classes. Wood for the fireplace, trash containers and all restroom materials are provided.

Patron Eligibility & Usage Fees

Command Sponsored Official Functions

These functions are sponsored by active duty Army units, directorates,
or special staff elements, to accomplish training for assigned missions, Monday thru Friday: 8 am - 4 pm. Reservations required.

$25 per hour

Command Sponsored Social Functions

These functions are sponsored by active duty Army units, directorates,
or special staff elements, for social functions to include hail & farewells. "Command Sponsored" means everyone in the organization must be invited and family members can attend. Reservations required.

$50 per hour

Personal Social Functions

These functions are sponsored by active duty Army units, directorates, special staff elements, retired Army personnel, active duty and retired personnel of other military services, N.G. and Reserve personnel and their family members, age 18 and older. Sponsors listed above cannot reserve the lodge for civilian social or organizational functions. Reservations required.

$50 per hour

Social Functions

These functions are sponsored by DOD/NAF civilian employees, Association of the US Army (AUSA), contractors employed by the US Army, Alaska, and their family members over 18 years of age.
Reservations required.

$75 per hour

Civilian Social Functions

These functions are sponsored by civilian organizations which are non-DOD related and are subject to approval by the Director of Community Activities (DCA). Reservations required.

$100 per hour

Social Functions & Fund Raisers for Non-profit Organizations

These functions are being used to raise funds by charging participants a fee.

Usage fees listed above plus a $25 additional charge

Reservations

Reservations can be made in person, or by calling the following locations. There is a 4 hour minimum. When you pay for 4 hours you receive 5 hours, 1 hour free for setup. A $250 refundable cleaning deposit is required.
